Landscapes
My landscape paintings are often inspired by places where I live or places I have traveled to.
Mostly I work from photos, but occasionally I take my easel out into the world and paint plein-air.

Systerskalet is a valley in the Swedish mountain region Vindelfjällen. The southern part of the famous hiking trail Kungsleden leads through this valley. On a beautiful morning of hiking, I came across this reflection in the water.

The Giselau is a river meandering through the landscapes of Schleswig-Holstein in Northern Germany. I visit this place often during family visits and see something new every time.

This painting was inspired by a highly memorable weekend cross-country skiing in the Swedish mountains. One morning was particularly clear, the bright sun casting interesting shadows over the deep snow.
