Still Life

Part of Open Eyes Art is to look closely at the small things around us. A small flower at the side of the road is easily dismissed, but when it becomes the subject of a painting, it is given full attention in all its details.

My floral paintings in particular are inspired by my love for gardening.

Crocuses

painting of pink crocuses

In my garden, crocuses are the first signs of spring. They come up so early that they occasionally see some more snow falling, and make for a beautiful spot of colour in the white cover of snow.
